Trek Offering Women-Focused Certification Course

Project Bike Tech is thrilled to promote an exciting opportunity for women from Trek Bikes. Trek Certified Service is offering its first of three women’s-focused technician courses for 2017.

Helping to expand knowledge of bike mechanics is what Project Bike Tech is all about and these courses are designed to increase the number of women technicians in the bicycle industry. Recent estimates show that women make up less than 10% of bicycle technicians and Trek is working to expand those numbers. The 4 day course takes place at the Trek Global Headquarters in Waterloo, WI from June 12th through the 15th. Scholarships are available, which includes free tuition, travel stipend, hotel accommodations as well as meals for the duration of the course.

No bike service experience is required. The deadline for scholarships is April 17th. Interested applicants should apply through the Trek website here.

Keep on learning and keep on riding!
